To obtain a binder which achieves a compact structure as a whole through a reduction in thickness of the fastening member, exhibits robustness, can perform excellent functions in terms of strength, and allows mounting /removing operations to be performed with ease. [Solving Means] A binder having a fastening member (3) for removably fixing a base plate (21) portion of a binding implement (2) on an inner surface side of a shelfback (11). The fastening member (3) includes: a base member (6);and a plate-shaped slide member (7) mounted to the base member (6) . The base member (6) has protruding portions (62) penetrating through the shelf back (11) and a base plate (21) to protrude above the base plate (21), and engaging portions (63) provided on both sides of each of the protruding portions (62), respectively. The slide member (7) has a plurality of engaging pieces (71) for engaging the engaging portions (63), respectively when the slide member (7) is mounted to the base member (6), and the engaging pieces are formed in shapes of plates inserted between the base plate (21) of the binding implement (2) and the engaging portions (63), respectively.
