Electric light comprises a reflector (3) arranged in a housing (1) close to the base with the reflector surface formed as an asymmetric sink so that light beams exit an opening (2) in an asymmetric manner. Two further reflector elements (6, 7) are arranged on the side of the light source (4) facing away from the reflector surface. The reflector elements have a concave base surface (8, 9) which faces the light source. Preferred Features: The light source is a luminescent lamp having a longitudinal axis which is aligned parallel to the longitudinal axis of the sink.
