A device and a method for objectively evaluating wearing sensations of a hat are provided to enable a user to develop diverse hats having the best wearability and supporting force by evaluating the supporting force and the wearing sensations of the hat with an objective value. A sensor unit(11) includes multiple pressure sensors for measuring horizontal/vertical pressure by detecting the pressure applied to each part of a model wearing the hat. A signal processor(13) converts the pressure value into a digital signal. A program unit(15) calculates the wearing sensations of the hat in an index type by determining correlation with subjective feeling based on a parameter which is a signal related to the pressure received from the signal processor. The pressure sensor is selected from a group comprising a film, a pad, and a terminal. The parameter is average pressure, maximum pressure, minimum pressure, and pressure distribution. The program unit includes the parameter for material. |
