SEPARATING APPARATUS FOR SUPPORT PLATE OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

A separating apparatus for a plasma display panel is provided to prevent re-adhesion between separated cut surfaces by using a cutting member. A plasma display panel is comprised of a display panel(5) and a support plate(7) for use in a heat release. The display panel has a discharge space therein and is made of a display-side glass substrate(5a) and a rear-side glass substrate(5b). The support plate is fixed to the rear-side glass substrate by an adhesive member(6). A cutting member(10) is contacted to the adhesive member to be moved with respect to the display panel, thereby cutting the adhesive member. As a result, the support plate is separated from the display panel. An insertion(11) is arranged at a backward end of the cutting member to be inserted into an expanded section between the rear-side glass substrate and the support plate.
