The transmitter and receiver, which operate e.g. via radio waves have respective clocks that are synchronized with each other. Time information is derived from the current transmitter clock time, and is added to the data message to be transmitted. The receiver extracts the time information from the data message and determines that the data message is valid if the time information lies within a defined time window. |
