<p>The device has a detector (1) with a microwave frequency signal transmitter and receiver placed in an enclosure (10). The enclosure has a measurement surface (11), with holes (12), to be positioned in the vicinity of a human body. The enclosure is reflective to the signals transmitted by the transmitter, and has a disorderly geometry for the signals. An electronic data processing system (2) is connected to the detector to correlate the signals measured with pre-stored signals. An alarm is activated when the correlation exceeds a threshold corresponding to the presence of suspect objects. An independent claim is also included for a method for detecting a dielectric object on a human body.</p> |
