Class 122(3) [Also in Group XXXVI] A shielding and sealing gasket for electronic or other electrical equipment comprises superimposeed ribbons of knitted metallic wire mesh embedded in resilient electrical insulating material, e.g. natural or synthetic rubber, each ribbon being substantially at right angles to one face of the gasket and having been cut lengthwise along two parallel wales such that the cut ends of the wire are flush with opposite faces of the gasket, whereby the looped wires provide laterally yieldable electrical conducting elements permitting flow of electricity between the opposite faces of the gasket.
