An image forming apparatus is provided to prevent a heat-shielding member from moistening by forming an air circulating path through which external air and heat generated from a fixing unit are circulated in the heat-shielding member. An image forming apparatus includes a main body(101), a fixing unit(170), a heat-shielding member(210), an air-inhaling fan(230), and an air circulating path(215). The main body includes an air inhaling port and an air exhaust port. The fixing unit is located in the main body and fixes an image onto a recording material. The heat-shielding member is located between the fixing unit and the main body and shields heat generated from the fixing unit from being transferred to the main body. The air-inhaling fan inhales external air through a space between the main body and the heat-shielding member. The air circulating path is formed in the heat-shielding member to circulate the external air inhaled through the air-inhaling fan and over-heated air from the fixing unit.
