A contactless IC chip, a portable terminal, an information processing method, and a program are provided to hide information for files including access restriction by setting the access restriction to a privacy attribute flag added to the file in case of need. A flag manager(52) sets the flag representing permission or refusal for inquiring file definition information to the files managed by a semiconductor IC device. A response transmitter(53) makes the semiconductor IC device transmit an error response representing that the file is not managed according to the flag representing the refusal for inquiring the file definition information in case that provision of the definition information is requested from the outside. The flag manager sets the flag for appointing a requester prohibited from the definition information. The response transmitter makes the semiconductor IC device transmit the error response representing according to the flag representing the refusal in the case that the requester is appointed by the flag.
