An accumulator for an air conditioner is provided to mount a suction pipe horizontally to a main body for restraining the generation of noise caused by flow of mixture refrigerant and oil. An accumulator for an air conditioner includes a suction pipe(202) supplying mixture refrigerant between liquid and gas phase refrigerants and oil from an indoor heat exchanger to a main body(201). A discharge pipe(203) discharges the gas phase refrigerant and the oil to a compressor. The suction pipe is horizontally mounted to the main body in the lengthwise direction of the main body, for preventing noise caused by the flow of the mixture refrigerant and the oil.
