A heat release structure of an electronic device and a plasma display apparatus having the same are provided to improve heat release capability by using an ion wind generating unit for ionizing air around the electronic device. A plasma display panel(110) displays an image by using a gas discharge. A chassis(120) is arranged on a rear of the plasma display panel and supports the plasma display panel. A circuit unit(140) drives the plasma display panel. At least one electron device is mounted on the circuit unit. An ion wind generating unit generates ion wind generated by ionizing air around the electron device to cool it. A circuit substrate(40) is arranged on a rear of the chassis. The electron device is mounted on the circuit substrate. The ion wind generating unit is formed on the circuit substrate. The ion wind generating unit includes a ground electrode(51) and a source electrode(52) for generating the ion wind.
