An intelligent building and a method for improving space utilization of the building are provided to reduce the energy caused by using the wide area according to the formation of glass as a wall of a time sharing-dedicated space. An intelligent building(10) is composed of plural time sharing-dedicated spaces(110) containing the common facility commonly used by any user to have a switched purpose as a dedicated space only for the specific user at a specific time; a dedicated cabinet where things of a user are stored; a cabinet storage space in which the dedicated cabinet is kept; a cabinet moving unit moving the dedicated cabinet from the storage space to the time sharing-dedicated space; a user moving unit moving the user to the specific time sharing-dedicated space allotted to the user among the plural time sharing-dedicated spaces; and a main control unit recognizing the user, selecting the space corresponded to the business property of the user, exchanging information with the user, the user moving unit, the time sharing-dedicated space, the dedicated cabinet, the cabinet storage space, the cabinet moving unit, and the user moving unit, and commanding the operation.
