HOME BAR OF REFRIGERATOR AND CONTROL METHOD THE SAME

A refrigerator home bar and a control method thereof are provided to mount a light emitting diode of high luminance to an ice discharge lever for improving appearance and helping users to distinguish the ice discharge lever clearly in the night time. A refrigerator home bar includes an ice discharge sensor(110) for sensing operation states of an ice discharge lever(112) and converting the sensing result to electric signals to output. A control part outputs predetermined control signals in response to the signals output from the ice discharge sensor. A light emitting diode(150) of high luminance is directly mounted at an upper end of the ice discharge lever for emitting light of predetermined intensity in response to the control signal output from the control part, thereby helping night vision. A first UV ray emitting diode(160) is mounted around an ice outlet(111) for emitting UV rays of high intensity around the ice outlet for a predetermined time in response to the control signal output from the control part, thereby sterilizing ice discharged via the ice outlet.
