An apparatus and a method for displaying images in a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) receiving mobile terminal are provided to simultaneously display a broadcasting program, broadcasting information provided by a broadcasting station or a mobile communication company and an event generated in the terminal on a screen. A display apparatus in a DMB receiving mobile terminal having a DMB receiver(10) for a DMB signal and broadcasting information, a demultiplexer(20) for receiving the DMB signal and separating a multiplexed audio signal and video signal from each other, and a decoder(30) for decoding the separated audio signal and video signal includes a key input unit(40), a controller(50), and a display unit(60). The key input unit outputs a signal corresponding to a menu and a full screen display change mode selected by a user. When a video signal and broadcasting information are received from the decoder and an event is generated, the controller outputs a control signal for displaying the images corresponding to the received video signal and broadcasting information and the event. When a full screen mode is selected through the key input unit, the controller outputs a full-screen display control signal corresponding to the full screen mode. The display unit receives the control signals from the controller and displays an image, broadcasting information and an event corresponding to the received control signals. The display unit full-screen-displays only an image when the full screen display control signal is received from the controller.
