A chip element is provided to eliminate the necessity of considering an interval with a third external terminal in forming a resistor pattern by preventing the third external terminal from being extended to the upper surface of an element. A plurality of electronic device patterns are formed on a body(20), so as to be separated from each other. A plurality of first inner electrode patterns are exposed to a first lateral part of the body, separated from each other. A plurality of second inner electrode patterns are exposed to a second lateral part of the body, separated from each other. One end of a third inner electrode pattern is exposed to a third lateral part of the body. A plurality of first external terminals(40) are connected to the first inner electrode patterns at the first lateral part of the element and are also connected to one end of the electronic device patterns. One end of the first external terminal is extended to the upper surface of the body. A plurality of second external terminals(42) are connected to the second inner electrode patterns at the second lateral part of the body and are also connected to the other end of the electronic device patterns. One end of the second external terminal is extended to the upper surface of the body. A third external terminal(44) is formed downward from an exposure position of the third inner electrode pattern, connected to the third inner electrode pattern at the third lateral part of the body.
