A heater assembly of a washing machine is provided to prevent an electric discharge or an electric leakage by preventing washing water from being penetrated into a wire connector for connecting wires of a thermostat and a power source unit. A heater assembly of a washing machine comprises: a heater installed at a water storage tub(50) to heat washing water in the water storage tub; a thermostat(70) installed at the water storage tub to be contacted on the heater; an electric wire connected with a power source unit of the washing machine; a first connector installed at the thermostat; and a second connector assembled with the first connector and connected with the wire. The thermostat includes: a housing penetrated at the lower side of the water storage tub; a clamp mounted on the upper surface of the housing to support the heater; a bimetal unit installed at the inner side of the housing to block electric current when the heater is heated over a preset temperature; a first terminal formed at one side of the bimetal unit to be connected with the first connector; and a second terminal formed at the other side of the bimetal unit.
