A dry level adjusting device of a drum-type washing machine and a method thereof are provided to variably control temperature of a heater according to a drying region and to thereby prevent the laundry from shrinking. A dry level adjusting device of a drum-type washing machine comprises: a key inputting unit(100) for selecting a course and inputting operating orders desired by a user; a humidity sensing unit(110) for judging dry level of the laundry; a microcomputer(130) for regulating the step according to the course selected by the user through the key inputting unit and gradually regulating driving temperature of the heater according to drying regions when the washing step is finished; and a heater driving unit(150) for regulating operation of the heater according to control signals of the microcomputer.
