An insert for storing a semiconductor package is provided to improve a semiconductor package storing efficiency by using an improved latch unit. An insert includes an insert body(20) with an opening portion capable of inserting a semiconductor package, a pocket guide(60) for loading the package in the opening portion of the insert body, a latch unit for preventing the deviation of the package from the pocket guide, and a lever plate(70) for driving the latch unit. The latch unit is composed of a latch(40) and a latch driving part(50) for transforming an up/down motion of the lever plate into a rotary motion.
