A rotor for a generator is provided to prevent loss of a coil wound around the rotor by cooling the rotor and the coil wound around rotor by air actively ventilated through the slot. In a rotor connected inside a stator of a generator, slots(9) are formed in a lengthwise direction of a rotor core(4). A coil locking unit is connected to the slot(9). The slot(9) has a slot jaw into which a head part of a bolt is inserted at the upper part thereof, and the right and left sides and the lower part thereof are extended to be round.
