ENGINE EXHAUST AFTER-TREATMENT SYSTEM

An engine exhaust gas after-treatment system is provided to reduce soluble organic fraction emitted from a vehicle by using adsorption devices. An engine exhaust gas after-treatment system comprises adsorption devices(20,30), inlet control units(31,41), and outlet control units(33,43). The adsorption devices adsorb soluble organic fraction from engine exhaust gas. The inlet control units are interposed between and connected to an outlet port(54) of an engine(50) and the adsorption devices in such a manner that the inlet control units selectively supply exhaust gas or outdoor air to the adsorption devices. The outlet control units are interposed between and connected to the adsorption devices and an inlet port(52) of the engine in such a manner that the outlet control units discharge the engine exhaust gas supplied to the adsorption devices to the outside and permit the outdoor air supplied to the adsorption devices to the engine.
