LOWER DIE SET HEATING METHOD

FIELD: plastic working of metals, namely procedure for heating lower die sets of press tools before pressing process in heating furnaces. ^ SUBSTANCE: method for heating lower dies set comprises steps of loading lower die set into furnace; evacuating furnace and creating in it controlled atmosphere; heating dies set till predetermined temperature; discharging it out of furnace and placing in press. Inner cavity of die set is sealed by means of membranes before loading die set in furnace; filling said cavity with inert gas such as nitrogen through technological ducts; heating die set in furnace with non-controlled atmosphere and placing it together with membranes in press. Said membranes are broken during pressing process. Invention provides protection of inner surface of die set against oxidation and decarbonization at preliminarily heating die set and placing it in press. ^ EFFECT: increased by two and more times period of tool working between maintenance procedures. ^ 1 dwg
