FIELD: manufacturing processes in machine engineering, attachments for machine tools, for example to lathes and grinding tools. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of centering and fastening part along outer surface and additionally fastening it along end surface. In order to enhance working accuracy, said additional fastening along end surface is realized by means of effort selected according to condition of elimination of part axis shifting. Apparatus includes collet chuck having housing, collet arranged in housing; drive unit having lid, body and piston with rod arranged in body; units for supplying compressed air. On lid of drive unit second body is mounted in which second piston with second rod are arranged. Diameter of second piston exceeds diameter of first piston. First rod is arranged in opening of second piston and it has on its outer surface grooves for placing quick-change washer for additionally forcing part.
