The invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used for compressors and engines, including internal combustion engines. The inventive engine comprises a cylinder (1), a piston (2) arranged therein and a mechanism for converting a shaft rotational movement into a piston reciprocating movement and vice versa, wherein said mechanism comprises a shaped toothed bar (5) provided with supports (6, 10, 12), a drive toothed wheel (4) which interacts with the shaft and bar (5), body parts (9) provided with guiding surfaces (7, 11) and a flexible piston rod (13) connected to the piston (12) and to the bar side distant therefrom, the rod is provided with a lever (15) which is placed where the rod is connected to the bar and is provided with a shaped surface (16), and a spreader part mounted in such a way that it modifies the rod deflection when displaced along the lever surface. Said invention simplifies the structural design and reduces overall dimensions and weight. |
