FIELD: mining industry; forming of coal piles. ^ SUBSTANCE: according to invention, coal is separated before transportation into small and large fractions, and small-size coal is packed in bags in amount of 5 - 15% of total mass of carried coal. Guard walls are formed from said bags on base of place designed for keeping the coal, and non-packed coal is placed between said walls.
