A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) retransmission device and method using an AP(Access Point), and a DMB receiving device and method in accordance with the retransmission device and method are provided to convert a DMB signal received from the outside into an IP(Internet Protocol) packet to retransmit the packet through a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) AP, thus a DMB service can be normally provided even to a shadow area. A DMB receiver(201) receives a DMB ensemble through an external antenna. A packet generator(203) generates an IP packet by attaching a header which includes a destination port and a destination address to the received DMB ensemble. An AP(204) transmits the generated IP packet. The packet generator(203) performs packet separation based on an MTU(Maximum Transfer Unit) of a lower network after attaching the IP header and a UDP(User Datagram Protocol) header to the received DMB ensemble, and attaches an MAC(Media Access Control) header to each of the separated IP packets.
