COMPOSITION MANUFACTURING METHOD OF MXD-6 COMPOSED WITH NANO CLAY FOR HIGH BARRIER RESIN

Provided is a composition of a polyamide-based MXD-6 resin containing nanoclay dispersed therein, which has excellent gas barrier property and allows exfoliation of nanoclay even to a degree of a silicate layer. The MXD-6 nanocomposite resin composition comprises 100 wt% of polyamide-based MXD-6 nylon and 0.5-10 wt% of a layered clay compound of montmorillonite. The layered clay compound of montmorillonite is at least one product selected from Cloisite 30B, 93A, 10A and 15A available from Southern Clay Products Company. The MXD-nanocomposite resin composition may be blended with: (1) nylon-6; (2) polyethylene terephthalate; (3) polypropylene; (4) polystyrene; and (5) polyvinyl alcohol.
