<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redundancy configuration apparatus and redundancy configuration method capable of setting a proper MAC address corresponding to a redundancy status by an autonomous decision of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An identification number setter 1420 generates an identification number which does not overlap with a number of other apparatuses, by combining a value of a unique number 1510 in which the unique number of the apparatus is previously stored, and a value of a version number 1520 in which a sequence number issued by the apparatus is stored when the apparatus becomes an active system in the redundancy configuration; and sets the number as the MAC address. The MAC address set in the above manner never overlaps with that of the other apparatuses. Hence, the same MAC address can be continuously used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
