PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preservation system of a vehicle traffic structure for establishing a technique for precisely clarifying the quantitativeness of the degree of damage, and to provide a method for preserving the vehicle traffic structure. SOLUTION: The preservation system of the vehicle traffic structure comprises a measuring instrument 3 that is arranged at the structure part of a structure body where a vehicle passes for measuring actual traffic condition data D1; and a calculator 1 for calculating the stress of the structure part corresponding to the actual traffic condition data D1. The actual traffic condition data D1 include an equivalent number of vehicles N of passing vehicles and the equivalent mass of the passing vehicles. The calculator 3 calculates the degree of fatigue with the equivalent number of vehicles N and the equivalent mass as variables. The degree of fatigue is calculated by axle load distribution without calculating the degree of fatigue by actually measured stress. For example, the remaining lifetime of an optimum specific part can be predicted by an FEM analysis using actual data that can be measured easily, thus appropriately determining inspection and repairing periods as scheduled.
