PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating the relaxation time of each of spectrum peaks from the FID signal of a sample obtained by the measurement of NMR, a method for realizing the assignment of a spectrum to a molecule from the difference of the relaxation time in a mixed solution and a method for monitoring a measuring environment from the relaxation time of each of the calculated spectra. SOLUTION: (N) duplications of an observed FID signal are formed while the processing defined by numerical formulae exp(-t/τ') andτ'(i)=τ<SB>0</SB>+Δi is applied to the duplicated FID signal data and spectrum processing is performed with respect to all of the duplicated FID signals. Thereafter, the relaxation time defined by the numerical formula:τ'(i)=τ<SB>0</SB>+Δi making the height of each of the frequency components of the duplicated FID signals half the height of the observed FID signal is recorded to form the set data of frequency andτ'. Frequency is set as an axis to detect a peak with respect to the obtained set data gathering of the frequency andτ' to specify the relaxation time at every observation spectrum of NMR.
