PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation structure which has a concrete foundation bearing a concrete column higher in strength than the concrete foundation, wherein the foundation structure can be constructed in a relatively simple manner while minimizing elastic strain and creep strain thereof and preventing cracking therein. SOLUTION: The foundation structure is constructed of the concrete foundation 10 and the concrete column 20 formed of high-strength concrete hither in strength than the concrete foundation 10 and erected on the concrete foundation 10. Herein, in order to constrain horizontal deformation of the concrete foundation 10, at a location below the concrete column 20, a spiral reinforcement 50 or the like is embedded in the concrete foundation 10.
