PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powdery composition of CMC-Na capable of easily shortening the dissolution time of CMC-Na and provide a method for dissolving CMC-Na. SOLUTION: The powdery composition of CMC-Na for dissolving CMC-Na in water in a short time is a mixture of CMC-Na and 1-10 wt.% PVP having a K-value of≤50 based on CMC-Na.
