PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front basket of a bicycle with functions of both anti-theft and water-proof. SOLUTION: The front basket of the bicycle is the one in which a front surface of the front basket of the bicycle and an upper lid become integral and is like a lid of a bag of a satchel. A round part of the front surface of the basket becomes the lid and the lid is opened to a front surface. A bottom part at a front side becomes a support of a body and the lid. Further, a side surface is attached to the lid and the side surface of the lid is superposed on the body of the basket. When it is opened, an article is not dropped off from the side surface. When it is closed, the side surface becomes double. A groove is provided on the side surface at one side not so as to be opened to the front side too much and a stopper is attached to the other surface so as to smoothly open/close it along the groove to perform opening/closing. When the lid is opened, an opening is widely opened and many articles can be stored. Further, it is made of a material that the article is not wetted in rain and is made of a strong material hardly destroyed even if it is fallen.
