PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper for which an adhesive type fastening tape has sufficient power of holding adhesion with a diaper main body even in the case that a nonwoven fabric is stuck to a diaper main body skin non-abutting surface or in the case of using a soft nonwoven fabric for the main body skin non-abutting surface or skin abutting surface, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: For the disposable diaper 1, the fastening tape 5 is provided on each of both side edge parts 12 in the diaper main body 10. The tape base material 51 of the tape 5 of the diaper 1 is folded so as to be from the skin non-abutting surface side to the skin abutting surface side of the diaper main body 10, and the part 54 positioned on the skin abutting surface side of the diaper main body 10 of the tape base material 51 is freely detachably adhered and fixed on a release tape 6. The part 55 positioned on the skin non-abutting surface side of the diaper main body 10 of the tape base material 51 is fused and fixed to the skin non-abutting surface side of the diaper main body 10 by ultrasonic sealing work from the skin non-abutting surface side.
