PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding-type seedling transplanting machine capable of solving such problems that conventional machines have a defect with respect to turning operability, because an operator is forced to conduct an on-off operation for driving a work unit and a raising or lowering operation of the work unit other than a turning and steering operation of a machine body, when the conventional machine is turned, and therefore the operator can not concentrate on a steering operation, when the machine is turned. SOLUTION: This riding-type seedling transplanting machine which is structured by ascendably and descendably mounting a seedling transplanting operation unit 3 on a traveling vehicle 1 equipped with right and left front wheels 6 for steering is equipped with a control unit 170, wherein the control unit 170 outputs an order for raising the seedling transplanting operation unit 3, when the right and left front wheels 6 are operated to be steered over a predetermined angle, so as to raise the seedling transplanting operation unit 3, and calculates a travel distance with a travel distance calculating means, so that the control unit 170 suspends an automatic turning mode which outputs an order for lowering the seedling transplanting operation unit 3 according to the travel distance, when a vehicle inclination sensor S4 positioned on the machine body detects an inclination of the machine body over a prescribed angle during the automatic turning mode.
