A method for preventing loss of a mobile terminal is provided to be capable of restricting power-off or battery separation of the terminal, thereby preventing a finder of the terminal from powering off the terminal or from separating a battery to avoid being tracked down. A password relating to powering off a mobile terminal is prestored(S21). When a power-off button of the terminal is pressed, inputting of the password is requested(S22,S23). It is decided whether the stored password is identical with the inputted password(S24). If so, the terminal is powered off(S25). A locking mode of a battery locking unit is canceled(S26). |
