A plasma display panel is provided to increase an applied region of a phosphor and to improve light emitting efficiency and luminance by using a barrier rib having a protruded section. An address electrode(22) formed on a rear glass(21) to be crossed with a scan electrode or a sustain electrode comprising a pair of maintain electrodes of the front panel. A lower dielectric(23) includes the address electrode inside. A barrier rib (24) is formed on an upper portion of the lower dielectric to divide each discharge cell. A phosphor(25) is applied into the discharge cell divided by the barrier rib to emit a visible ray for displaying an image when the address electrode is discharged. A protruded section(27) is formed on at least one surface of the barrier rib. The phosphor is applied into the discharge cell divided by the barrier rib where the semicircle protruded section is formed.
