<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical purpose saw which can easily be used even in a narrow place, and in addition, has a sufficient cutting force in the medical purpose saw which is used for cutting bones in surgical operations or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This medical purpose saw 10 comprises a wire-like body 11 having flexibility such as a stranded cord made of stainless steel, and a cutting section 12 which is formed on the wire-like body. The cutting section carries the alternate arrangement of sections 12a to which an abrasive grain is fixed, and sections 12b to which the abrasive grain is not fixed.
