<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the waterproofness of a vent closure covering a vent hole with a waterproof air-permeable membrane while ensuring a sufficient ventilation of the vent closure. <P>SOLUTION: A air-permeable sheet 17 covering the vent hole 15 of the vent closure 13 is made by laminating a reinforcing backing sheet 21 on the interior of the waterproof air-permeable membrane 20, and is joined/fixed to the vent closure 13 by infiltrating the molding material of the vent closure 13 into a gap of the backing sheet 21 and allows the molding material to harden. A sealing process is performed at least in an area of the outer surface of the air-permeable sheet 17 (outer surface of the waterproof air-permeable membrane 20), the area being along the inner periphery of the jointed part between the outer surface of the air-permeable sheet 17 and a sheet fixing part 16. In this sealing process, fine holes on the waterproof air-permeable membrane 20 are closed with a sealing material 22 to cut off or degrade ventilation. As a result of the sealing process, the part of air-permeable membrane 20 near the joined part between the air-permeable membrane 20 and the sheet fixing part 16 comes to have improved water pressure resistant capability while the center portion of the air-permeable membrane 20 which is not subjected to the sealing process, maintains the original ventilation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
