PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a carbon nanotube-dispersed composite material where not only the characteristics of ceramics or a metal powder base material but also the original excellent electric conductivity, thermal conductivity and strength properties of a long chain-shaped or netty structure inherent in the carbon nanotube itself are made the most of as much as possible.
SOLUTION: Long chain-shaped carbon nanotubes, particularly the ones obtained by beforehand subjecting only carbon nanotubes to disintegrating treatment are kneaded with ceramics or metal powder capable of being fired in a ball mill, so as to cause dispersion, and the dispersed body is integrated by discharge plasma sintering, so that the carbon nanotubes can be dispersed in the sintered compact surrounding as a netty shape.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
