<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability, and to prevent unintended replacement, when replacing a plurality of signal addresses in a sequence program/symbol table to be used for the control of an automatic machine. <P>SOLUTION: A replacement object sequence program (and/or sub-program) is selected on a picture for registration, and corresponding relations prior/posterior to the replacement of a signal address is registered. The signal address in the sequence program/symbol table prior to replacement is displaced like R0.0→R1.0 through R4.7→R6.7 and R5→R7 as intended in an end batch replacement processing. As regards the registration of a plurality of series of pre-replacement signal addresses and a series of post-replacement signal addresses, registration in the format of range designation is made possible just like, for example, R3 to R5→R5 to R7.
