PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of attaining size reduction of the whole apparatus by using a prism having a free-form surface. SOLUTION: An imaging module 15 includes a first prism 16, where a luminous flux from an object is made incident on a first incident surface 16a, reflected by a first reflecting surface 18a, thereafter, exits from a first exit surface 16c and a second prism 17, where the luminous flux is made incident on a 2nd incident surface 17a, reflected by a second reflecting surface 20a, thereafter, exits from a 2nd exit surface 17d. The imaging element 25 is arranged on the image forming surface of an imaging optical system that includes the first prism 16 and the second prism 17, to convert an object image formed by the imaging optical system into an electrical signal. The first reflection surface 18a and the second reflecting surface 20a are deformed by a system controller 27 and mirror surface deformation mechanisms 28 and 29 to make the power changed, and then the imaging position of the object image formed by the imaging optical system is changed.
