PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication appratus which can carry out the early grasp of a factor in which the state of the communication appratus changed. SOLUTION: The communication state of root information in router equipment 11 is supervised and a present communication state is stored in a RAM 17. The transition of a present stored communication state and a previous communication state is detected by determining whether they are different or not. When the transition of the communication state is detected, the nortification of an alarm composed of the present communication state and the previous communication state stored in the RAM 17 is generated and transmitted to surveillance equipment.
