PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high sensitivity curable composition which excels in storage heat stability, efficiently generates an active free radical by irradiation with light energy or addition of heat energy, and can polymerize a free radical-curable substance with a low exposure dose. SOLUTION: The polymerizable composition comprises a radical polymerization initiator, a radical polymerizable compound, and a hydrogen donating compound, and the substantial radical polymerization initiator is represented by formula (1) (wherein X is an aromatic group, and R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are each a monovalent organic residue).
