PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrazide-containing copolymer capable of improving long-term storage stability of a resin composition when the copolymer is formulated with a resin without impairing action of the hydrazide group-containing copolymer as crosslinking agent or curing agent for resins. SOLUTION: The crosslinking agent or curing agent for resins comprises a hydrazide group-containing copolymer represented by formula (1) (wherein A, B and D are each a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; E is ammonium or an organic amine; l, m, n and o each satisfy the following formulas: 1≤1≤99 mol%, 1≤m≤99 mol%, 0≤n≤98 mol%, 1≤o≤98 mol% and l+m+n+o=100 mol%) as an active ingredient.
