PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio data editing method which is capable of controlling the memory capacity of a digital audio player in accordance with a user need and allows the user to edit a capacity of a digital audio file so as to fit the desired capacity, and to provide a recording medium employing the method and a digital audio player. SOLUTION: The digital audio player 30 capable of playing the audio data stored in a storage part 35 for storing a digital audio data, comprises: a key input part 31 in which an editor key 31a capable of adjusting a data extraction rate with respect to the audio data inputted through an input part 45; and a control part 32 which performs the extraction in accordance with the data extraction rate selected through the key input part with respect to the audio data received through the input part and stores the extracted audio data into the storage part.
