PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally developable photographic material excellent in storage stability at high temperature and high humidity, and an image forming method thereof. SOLUTION: The thermally developable photographic material has at least one photosensitive layer containing a photosensitive silver halide on a support and has a layer containing at least one compound represented by formula (1) on one or both surfaces of the support. The image forming method thereof is also provided. In the formula, R<SB>11</SB>and R<SB>12</SB>each independently represent H or a substituent; Z<SB>11</SB>represents O, S, N-R<SB>1</SB>, Se or Te, R<SB>1</SB>represents alkyl or aryl; Q<SB>11</SB>represents a 6-membered heterocycle; and A<SB>11</SB>and B<SB>11</SB>each represent aryl, where at least one of A<SB>11</SB>and B<SB>11</SB>represents substituted aryl.
