PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for degassing roasted coffee powder intended for performing in a short time degassing treatment of carbon dioxide generated from coffee powder while holding aroma components inside without using nitrogen gas. SOLUTION: This method for degassing the roasted coffee powder C comprises generating carbon dioxide from the coffee powder C which is obtained by subjecting roasted coffee beans to crushing treatment while holding the powder in a powder tank T, and subjecting the carbon dioxide to extracting treatment. In more details, the method comprises letting the carbon dioxide generated from the coffee powder C in the powder tank T circulate inside the coffee powder between the powder tank T and an air pass outside the tank.
