<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system preventing deterioration of a catalyst of a fuel electrode caused by insufficiency of hydrogen at local part thereof, when re-starting after stoppage of idling. <P>SOLUTION: An impurity density detection means 33 detects impurities in fuel gas in a fuel circulation means composed of a hydrogen circulation piping 10 and a hydrogen circulation pump 11, or an anode 3.
