PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a room temperature-curable organopolysiloxane composition that has a low viscosity and excellent workability at elevated temperatures beyond an ordinary room temperature, exhibits initial adhesion when allowed to cool after its application and thereafter affords good rubber properties as the crosslinking reaction proceeds by curing at an ordinary room temperature, and is effective as a silicone sealing agent, an adhesive, a coating agent, a potting agent or the like. SOLUTION: The room temperature-curable organopolysiloxane composition comprises (A) 100 pts.mass organosiloxane polymer comprising R<SB>3</SB>SiO<SB>1/2</SB>units (wherein each of R independently denotes a 1-6C unsubstituted or substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group) and SiO<SB>4/2</SB>units in a molar ratio of the R<SB>3</SB>SiO<SB>1/2</SB>units to each of the SiO<SB>4/2</SB>units of 0.6-1.2 and having a hydroxysilyl group in an amount of less than 0.04 mol/100 g, (B) 50-200 pts.mass polysiloxane having a hydrolyzable silyl group through an alkylene bond in the molecular chain and (C) 0.01-10 pts.mass curing catalyst.
