PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bath agent having an excellent effectiveness by utilizing the advantage of tuff as the bath agent, also by supplementing the defect in making the tuff as the bath agent by utilizing the adsorptive property of maifanshi. SOLUTION: The tuff and maifanshi are boiled together, and their supernatant is used as the bath agent. Since the tuff contains lime and soda in its components, the lime and soda are eluted into the hot water by boiling it. Therefore, the liquid bath agent which is the supernatant of the boiled tuff, or a granular bath agent obtained by using the supernatant as a raw material, contains the lime and soda components. By pouring the bath agent into warm water, the lime and soda components dissolve with the warm water to generate carbon dioxide or hydrogen carbonate and exhibit the effect of carbonate spring.
